Christmas 2010 . . .

It was so much fun watching Ethan enjoy all
the sights and sounds of Christmas this year!
He enjoyed pointing out every Santa and snowman
he saw around our house.

We had 6 stockings hanging on the mantle this year.
Our new granddaughter, Emma, won't be arriving
until April, but we couldn't resist filling a pink stocking for her.

Bob received a new video camera from the kids.
All the men in our family love their high tech gadgets!

Ethan had lots of gifts to open.

I think his favorite gift was the interactive
Charlie Brown Christmas book.
Hope your Christmas was full of joy!

Through The Years . . .

Hubby & I are celebrating our 35th anniversary today.
That's a lot of years.
We've experienced the joys and challenges
that life has to offer.
With God's guidance we have made the best of it all.

I love you, honey!

One Of My Favorites . . .

I hope you'll take the time to listen to
one of my favorite Christmas songs.
You don't hear it being played too often
on radio stations that play Christmas music.

"I Wonder As I Wander"
Its message is pure, simple, touching, and true.

Turn the volume up so you can hear
the wonderful Michael Buble sing this song!

My Grown Up Christmas List

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies

Well, I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here's my lifelong wish
My grown up Christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
and wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely
Wrapped beneath our tree

Well heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
A hurting human soul

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth
This is my grown up Christmas list

Slowly But Surely . . .

Decorating our house for Christmas has been a challenge!
I get pretty tuckered out after working an hour on
decking the halls, and have to rest a while before starting again.
My recovery is going well. The Dr. has reduced my insulin
and blood pressure medication significantly.
Woo-hoo!

My hubby, son, and daughter~in~law have helped a lot.
Thanks guys for being such great helpers!
Come back soon to see a little mini tour of the Christmas bling!
Thanks for dropping by for a visit!

I made my first purchase for Christmas gift giving this morning.

I LOVE shopping online with QVC!
It is truly a great way to shop with
Quality~Value~Convenience.
It's much easier than traditional shopping at stores.
I am not a 'Black Friday' shopper!
Have you ever shopped with QVC?
