Goodbye Little Friend. . .

Yesterday was a sad, emotional day for our family. Our sweet kitty cat, Chip, passed away. My sweet hubby was with her when she took her last breath. Chip has been a member of our family for 17 years. She had been in failing health the last few months. Even though we're very sad, we know it was for the best.

Okay, let's move along. I did manage to do a little decorating yesterday in the kitchen.

This chalkboard is in my old green cabinet. . .

What southern country kitchen is complete without a replica of the Cracker Barrel?

I love this picture of Bobby when he was about 10, he's hamming it up for the camera!

Here's Frosty looking his best. . .

I bought this set of stoneware a few years ago at Dollar General.

This fir tree is sitting above the kitchen sink. Click on the picture to see the cute ornaments.

I'm excited about an event I'm attending with Kari tonight!! I'll share details tomorrow.
Can you believe it? Christmas is 3 weeks from today!!! Yikes!!!!!

I am sorry to hear about chip - 17 years is pretty good for a kitty!
Your tree was adorable w/ the snowmen, cookie cutters and orange slices - overall great design!

One of my cats loves to lay on the desk in front of me every morning as I post. It is almost as if I have to hug her in order to type.

I am so sorry for your loss. They become such a part of our lives. Chip lived a long, long life...she must have been a very loved and well cared for kitty.

Your decorations are fun. They also end up having emotional attachments for us...I think that is why I have so much trouble getting rid of them when they are past their prime. I managed it this year, though. Getting out the decorations coincided with a major purging mood...

I'm sorry for your loss to! So many of us know how dear our pets are to us. Our family cat left us 2 years ago--she was nearly 23 or 24. LONGGG life.

I love that chalkboard and little fir tree!

I know you all loved chip dearly. I am sorry it was a hard day for you. Iam proud of how you managed to keep going with your fluffing. It looks so wintery cozy. How I wish we lived closer to have a cup of coffee together in your kitchen!
Love you
M

I'm sorry to hear about Chip.
We lost our little dog Molly a little over a year ago. She was 16 and was an indoor dog. It's tough!

I enjoy your blog and love all of the decorations & congratulations on winning the give-away.
Isn't it fun to receive packages in the mail?!!
